The creation of Adam and Eve is by far the most recreated and memorable aspect of religions revolving around the bible. Though I am not a religious person, per se, Adam and Eve's story resonates with me in some way. I consider myself a feminist and I'm always dumbfounded when I come across people who are not for equal rights and women's rights. It wasn't until I recently re-read the story of Adam and Eve that I realized that the reasoning behind some religious women not supporting their own rights as women may derive from being created from a man (Adam). They believe they came from the man in the beginning and thus translated that to put their needs first and that they may be of a lesser person.
